This publication follows the lineage of Veranus Brownell, an itinerant Methodist preacher born in Pomfret, Vermont in the early 19th century. Through the following pages, readers can trace back eight generations of descendants and learn about the lives of various family members through biographical sketches and occasional portraits. Following the registry of descendants, the author includes the records of families who have married into the Brownell family. This work aims to preserve the legacy of the Brownell family and provide a glimpse into the lives of those who were connected to Veranus Brownell, beginning with the background of Thomas Brownell who immigrated from England.
