For thirty years a confirmed pretribulationalist, he now believes that the Church will have to endure the persecution of the Antichrist: "god never promised His children immunity from the trials of this godless world or the assault of the Antichrist. In view of the fact that Christians will not escape all of the oppression of the "Tribulation" period, Rosenthal urges godly living in light of a clear understanding of the last days so that we will be prepared for Satan's intense opposition.
