Mevech is an average (mostly) teenage boy in the dystopian European Empire. Since before he was born, the world has been overrun by eight tyrannical rulers, who are willing to fight and destroy everyone in their paths to power, especially each other. No one knows where they came from, but rumors fly. Some say they're wizards who finally got tired of hiding among mortal men. Some say there was one great tyrant who bestowed his powers to the others, but they killed him, seeking even more power for themselves. Some even say that they are manifestations of the Devil himself, who came down to the Earth to kill off mankind. But one thing is clear; in Mevech's age, things are tough. What will Mevech do when caught in a dreaded situation and the ultimate challenge is set before him?
