Utta Drivel Short Stories Four is a collection of humorous short stories. It follows on from his first two books of short stories read out at Creative Writing evening classes to much laughter. It covers a wide range of subjects and human experiences through the ages. This is apparent from some of the evocative titles: Drinks Inn; God, I Love Spring; Gary Baldy; The saurus; and Clenchbuttocks. And a short funniest-bits autobiography: He'd had an Exciting Life. The subjects range from a very careful man called Egsin Onebasket to a Leisure Centre full of people snoring on sofas. From a retired couple thinking of forming a What's-an-App? group to musicians greeting each other: "Du-du-wup-wup." "Bup-a-diddy-wup." Other stories include the Royals celebrating Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk so as to be nearer the turkeys, a bankrupt council outsourcing food waste disposal to local foxes - consumption of food waste by refuse collectors at the point of collection was a wonderful idea - and a man who, after his wife left him, bought an inflatable mummy for his children. That's what he told them, anyway... Enjoy...
