This is not a "how to..." book nor is it interspersed with recipes and pickling advice - it is simply what I experienced during my first year as an allotment gardener. A light, entertaining, easy read. I am no expert but I'm enjoying the journey, learning lots along the way. I could never have imagined the highs and lows a year at the allotment would bring.
