HAK is a historical fantasy novel composed of two books. "HAK: The birth of the Drascos" is the first book. The second book, "HAK: Sapere aude", will be published in 2027.The Kingdoms, populated by free men, disappear one after another, giving way to the Drascos, made of masters and slaves. When a Kingdom strays from the path of virtue, evil appears. This manifests as an enormous Dark Cloud, a horrendous monster with six heads which destroys a Kingdom every full moon, so that a Drasco can take its place. It falls to Hak, a woman errant knight, to attempt to destroy evil, fighting against Lucas, a Governor of the Kingdom of Fools who wants to transform the House of Hides into a Drasco.Lucas is convinced that "possessing people" is the only possible way to become rich quickly without having to be accountable to anyone. And it is governors like Lucas who make the Dark Cloud appear in the sky, because a Drasco cannot become a reality if before it is not born in the heart of a king. HAGAR LANEVery Sicilian and not very Italian, a citizen of the world. I am an Electronics Engineer with honors and hold a second-level University Master's degree in Business Strategy. For many years, I worked as a manager in major multinational companies, first in the Telecommunications sector and later in the Food industry, serving as Head of Technical Support, IT Manager, and EDP Manager. My specialties were Business Process Reengineering and the design of complex databases for industrial applications. I loved my job and gave my all to the six companies I worked for. One day, however, the job market changed - you may have noticed it too - and I changed along with it! I started traveling, learning languages and studying subjects that had previously seemed unimaginable to me. I also began to write: a historical-fantasy novel, "Cavalier Hak"; an essay on Tarot and Kabbalah, "El 71° sentido: La Torre"; a travel guide, "El Camino de Santiago - La Guía de Hagar", and a coming-of-age novel, "Amo e faccio quello che voglio".For me writing is passion, research, experimentation, and a constant challenge with myself, which is why I enjoy exploring different literary genres. I am an independent writer by choice and I intend to remain so for a while longer (maybe forever). I want to focus entirely on my books, personally taking care of every step: from writing to editing, from creating the ebook to designing and crafting the cover, from translations to, finally, publishing.
