In all my travels, this experience was by far the most packed with entertainment: the bike breaking down, the wedding, being run off the road, a shotgun pointed at me, and fishing out in the Pacific Ocean in a skiff without knowing the depth of the waters. But the one thing that kept everything alive was being involved with people-their humorous touches along with their kindness. It was during this time that I met Arlene, my future wife, although my second journey would take another eight and a half years. Years later, through conversations and connections with people, I was grateful to have crossed paths with Arlene, who would become my wife.
