He first told the story to his oldest son as a way to comfort him before bedtime. as John had more children the story grew and his own children started adding things. John contacted recognized artist Arlene Kriebs thru a face book connection, and asked if she would be willing to up date his original illustrations. She immediately said yes and poured her heart into the drawings! The book comes to life with colorful page after page of renderings and lyrical rhyme.
