We often talk about prayer focusing on steps, types, rules and regulations to "effective" praying, inadvertently making it mechanical, a calculus, even servile. Whereas in talking specifically on the subject, the Lord rested prayer and receiving in prayer on our perception of the Father's love and willingness to bless us. He commended us to our heavenly "Father". This is the focus of this book. It celebrates our Father's love for us and holds this as the foundation and reason for receiving in prayer. It rejoices in prayer as a living organic relationship with our Father, all the freedoms and joy attending, not as contrived, stiff, servile begging. We behold the Cross as the ultimate demonstration of His love and our security. We have perfect fellowship with the Father, and live in His presence, secure in His love. Here, unanswered prayer does not exist, and rejection has no place.
