At the end of the seventeenth century, hidden deep in the Caribbean, there is a chain of small islands populated by the outcasts of society, men with no country, and seafarers.Young Caleb escapes his life as a slave on one of the islands and sails the seas. After an encounter with an entity from beyond the grave, Caleb begins to put together a crew of pirates including a former privateer, a mysterious gravedigger, and a voodoo practitioner and others to fight the dark forces threatening to invade the Caribbean.
