Lucius Apuleius, an adherent of Plato's philosophy and the ancient mystery schools, authored "Eros and Psyche" nearly two millennia ago. Mr. Apuleius takes the wisdom of Plato and writes the story of Cupid and Psyche; aka Eros and Psyche in the middle of his book, The Golden Ass, originally known as The Metamorphoses of Apuleius.
