Christmas was right around the corner in Rio de Janeiro. Delicate ornaments were being hung from the trees, lights of all kinds were placed on their boughs, and the spirit of joy rang through the rafters of every home. That is, every home except the one of Clarista Garletto. Christmas was never very happy for eight-year-old Clarista. She grew up in a home where her parents fought and argued night and day, to the point where separation of the married couple became an increasing possibility. Then it hit a breaking point. With Christmas fast approaching, Clarista decides to take matters into her own hands by going to the North Pole. Between her own determination, the magic of Christmas, and a little help from St. Nicholas, Clarista hopes that she can save her parents' relationship before it too late.
