"Born Free II: Education, Rights & Nam" continues the narrative of my experience of living in America in the mid-20th century. This was a period when poor human relations in a multi-class society, dominated almost every fabric of American life. The American Slavery System was no more, but its legacy remained. This may have been the most tumultuous period of my life. This was the period I went from boyhood to adulthood. These were the years of high school, college, dramatic civil rights events, equality of rights legal changes, the Vietnam War, and the horrific mind-blowing assassinations of the following Americans: U.S. President John F. Kennedy; Mississippi Leader, Medgar Evers of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People ( NAACP); Islamic Leader Malcolm X; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Leader of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC); And New York U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy. For much of this period, I felt as if I was on an emotional roller coaster.
