Taken from Reader's Favorite 5-star award: "The Day I Married Roger" by Eileen Sheehan is a dark and intriguing read. The writing was descriptive, and I could feel the dark and supernatural beings in the mansion. I was hooked from the start, and at times, the hair on my arms was raised. The plot held me captive, and I had a hard time putting the book down. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, turning the pages as fast as I could; I did not want to miss a thing. The characters were realistic and relatable. I felt empathy for Sally, who went into this marriage bright-eyed but was let down in the worst way imaginable. The book was skilfully written, and every event felt as if I was there in person. This is a kind of book that lingers with you. I enjoyed reading it.
