All Dave wanted to do was take his family on a relaxing vacation to Mexico. They were barely off the plane when the trouble started. The family finds that the hotel they had booked has gone out of business, but a friendly airport worker offers to hook them up with a much better place, a slice of heaven, for a much better price. Acknowledging they have nowhere else to go, they board a van for a ride to a massive and remote beachfront resort. The next morning, they are rudely awakened by a call insisting that they are required to attend breakfast. Ignoring the demand gets them a creepy visit from the resort manager who lets himself into their bedroom to make sure they attend.Finding this unacceptable, the family decides to pack up and go. Dave sets off to make the arrangements to leave but everywhere he goes - the lobby and outside - he finds deserted. He also finds himself locked out of the building. He goes searching for someone to help him but gets lost along the labyrinthine pathways and finds himself alone on the beach. He hears a couple call to him from the jungle. They tell him that nothing is as it seems at the resort and that they themselves have been hiding for three weeks trying to find a way out. What follows is a harrowing journey to escape the prison in paradise with an ending you'll never see coming.
