The disheveled and gruff Scott is struck time after time with new instances of suffering beyond predictability, constantly under the curiosity if it holds some great reward for all the pain it has brought him. His friend Oliver, however, remains at a constant stillness of mind, calm as a lake. When these two meet, their connection starts as tenuous, but only grows stronger after the hardships they both endure. Their love becomes harder and harder to hide, and the consequences of it leave them changed beyond recognition. For all there is love, there is death and grief.
