Dreams, drugs and droids fuel a surreal journey into the depths of late 21st Century Oakland, California where androids make up 1% of the population and rule over the cyber world as the new depraved billionaire class. Meet George Jackson, a 32-year-old, Black sportswriter who has just gotten fired from his job at the Oakland Tribune. He was the only non cyberneticaly enhanced worker in the Oakland Zone and now faces a life changing decision that he needs to make before his legal status expires. A dream about his parents, Black activists, writers and ultimately political prisoners, reminds him why they gave him the name they did and sets him on a course filled with self-examination and fraught with peril. Enter Xian Garcia, a VR explosion artist and underground rebel crew leader. Together, she and George try to make their dreams come true as they party with a host of colorful android celebrities including: Alex Crowley aka Dr. Lipservice - well known radio therapist and expert on all things Occult, Jim and Carolyn Jones, and Rickard Powers - the experimental, bi-brain, 'artist' model, who may have had the first ever android dream. And last but not least, Solis, a golden alien with Christian leanings who holds the key in this battle for supremacy in an all-too-real nightmare future.
