Biblically speaking, the subject of marriage was never in hush tones. It is as loud as the first pages of Scripture, where in the second chapter we can readily see that a man and a woman were brought together into a marital institution. Therefore, the concept of marriage should not be dealt with either by a sleight of hand or by a frivolous approach. We must submit truly that today's world has marriage evolving with new trends and sometimes evoking a rebellion against existing traditions whether right or wrong, We have over time put out materials and I have written materials that have shown the importance of this institution and the Christian walk in one flesh. What we have done is to put marriage within the context of what was happening, the traditions and the ethos of the days of the writers and see how they were able to navigate all the invariables, or let's say landmines that existed in the cultural norms of their day.And as we approach today's challenges and answer today's questions, One Flesh is meant to give us a broader approach in looking at the concept of marriage, dating, relationships and sex, and yet affirm the sanctity of the written word over whatever is existing in our world today. Hence, expect to read history, expect to study the historical context of biblical texts as they speak to marriage relationships of their day. I trust that this book will expand our horizons in the study of marriage and relationships and furthermore broaden our thought on God's Word as touching relationships. So, take your Bibles and your writing materials and of course a good, sanctified mind and study through this material. As we look at One flesh according to Scripture, you will be blessed and generations to come. Amen. I remain multidimensionally yours, Chris Olusegun Onayinka.
