It's the Twenty-sixth century and life is tough. Food is scarce, it hasn't rained in years, and you need an oxygen mask to go outdoors. If that sounds bad, driving to work in the morning is even worse! Most people drive forty pound ozi cars, an acronym for ozone interceptor. With a top speed slower than a fast bicycle, ozi cars are easy targets for the chemical company executives that basically run the world. They don't drive piss ant ozi cars, no it's bon cars for them. Vehicles named after an addictive racing video game, bon drivers try to run over and kill people, and they kill many. The government doesn't care, hell, the chemical companies are the government. Fortunately there are people trying to make a difference, like biologist Lou Starr. Mean, strong, and smart, he had a lucky break. Not another fight with a police robot and a quick get away. No, this time he found a living plant. The first plant found growing outdoors naturally, in decades. With a stash of illegal twentieth century automobiles, Lou is headed for mega trouble with the authorities. But illegalities don't bother Lou Starr much, especially when a principle is involved, and since the principle affects Lou's very survival... stay out of Lou's way!
