Shelldon lives on a large farm with lots of other snails. One day he's taken from his farm and travels with the lettuce to a grocery store. At the store, a kindly Old Man finds him and takes him to his own home. Shelldon is placed in a small garden by the Old Man. He's shocked to find his parents already living in the garden. The family is reunited and Shelldon is happy to have this new home. Along the way, Shelldon experiences many new adventures.
