I did not realise my Mother had been emotionally unavailable my entire life until I gave birth to my own daughter. Yes I saw the differences in my friends Mothers when I was younger but I just thought that's how it was. Through my own parenting adventure I have realised the past cannot always be allowed to move forward. To heal I went on a journey back through my own rather traumatic Childhood. I had to cut ties, remove myself from family members, put boundaries in place and face the truth.
