It was a big season for Neo-Gers. They'd won last season, albeit in extremely unusual circumstances and with suspicions of foul play. Winning this season's league title would prove once and for all that Neo-Gers were Scotland's best team. It would also be one in the eye for all the nay-sayers that said that Neo-Gers had cheated their way to the title, with a good deal of outside help. It was a big season for other reasons too. Since Neo-Gers, The People, the media and our football authorities all accepted the Big Lie, they were happy to believe that 2022 was going to be the club's 150th Anniversary. All manner of celebrations were apparently planned. Again, it would be one in the eye for all those that claimed that Rangers had died in 2012. Winning the league would put the tin hat on things. 2022 was also the year of the Queen's Platypus Jubilee and Neo-Gers, who called themselves the Queen's 11, expected to be an integral part of the celebrations. In Scotland, they'd play a leading part since they were the Archetypal British Club. It was something else to look forward to and a league title would be the perfect gift for Hurmaj. Yes, it was going to be a big season. And with Celtic with an apparently useless new manager and a team of unknown foreigners, winning the league would never be easier. Naturally, Neo-Gers were favourites to win their second title and The People looked forward to an easy run and a possible treble. There was never a better time to be one of The People.
