N-heteroarenes are considered as a privileged class of heterocyclic compounds that has not only found enormous applications in Medicinal Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry and drug discovery but also in other areas of Chemistry.1This class of compounds has ability to attain the required pharmacological, pharmacokinetic, toxicological, and physicochemical properties necessary for the drug candidates to become the ultimate drugs. It is therefore not surprising that a large number of drugs currently available for patients use belong to this class.
