Jeanne Robertson is best known for her humorous stories, told from the platform as a professional speaker and from the theater stage, and the multitude of clips available on YouTube, including "Don't Send a Man to the Grocery Store" and "Don't Bungee Jump Naked." Many of her stories have been preserved in the nine DVDs/CDs she recorded or included in the four books she has written.Jeanne also submitted a weekly column to one of several local magazines and newspapers in Alamance County from 2000 until 2021. Some of these columns, some 184 total, have been included in her earlier books, but many of her stories, including "Don't Snap an Elephant to a Tree," have yet to appear in print. In these columns, Jeanne also shared a multitude of humorous encounters she had during her 50-plus years traveling throughout the US and Canada. She retells some of the humorous trials and tribulations of being a former beauty queen. And, as always, she reminded her readers to look for the humor in their lives.
